Our newest Golden missionaries arrived today!!!
We welcome you to the great Australia Perth Mission and we are so glad you are here!!! Our new sister is from Tahiti and our new elder is from Samoa!!! We love you!!!

And Farewell to this great Elder returning to Mongolia. Thank you for your faithful service and for serving for two years to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your brothers and sisters in Western Australia. We will miss you! We love you! Go forward with faith!!!

Fourth, we must act on the first prompting.

Remember the words of Nephi. “I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do. Nevertheless,” he said, “I went forth.”16

And so must we. We must be confident in our first promptings. Sometimes we rationalize; we wonder if we are feeling a spiritual impression or if it is just our own thoughts. When we begin to second-guess, even third-guess, our feelings—and we all have—we are dismissing the Spirit; we are questioning divine counsel. The Prophet Joseph Smith taught that if you will listen to the first promptings, you will get it right nine times out of ten.17

Now a caution: don’t expect fireworks because you responded to the Holy Ghost. Remember, you are about the work of the still, small voice.

Let's practice this every day this week!!! When we "feel" a certain feeling prompting us to do good, or think a quick quiet thought prompting us to reach out, lift up, or speak with someone.....let's make a goal and a plan on how we can be ready to respond to and to act on that prompting from the still small voice of our heavenly guide...the Holy Ghost. Then let's be accountable every night to Father in Heaven by reporting back on how we've done. He will help us to learn this principle, and when we do learn it, our lives will be blessed and our work will change!!!! We love you!!!

What a blessing to study the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ every day! And then to find and be able to teach individuals and families whose hearts have been prepared to receive these wonderful truths!!! These are excerpts from Preach My Gospel p. 31-32

God Is Our Loving Heavenly Father

God is our Heavenly Father. We are His children. He has a body of flesh and bone that is glorified and perfected. He loves us. He understands and feels our sorrows and rejoices in our progress. He wants to communicate with us, and we can communicate with Him through sincere prayer.

He has given us this experience on the earth so we can learn and grow.

Our Father’s plan for us to be successful in this life and to return to live with Him is called the gospel of Jesus Christ, with Jesus’ Atonement at the center of that plan.

The message of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that all individuals are part of God’s family and that families can be united now and in eternity. Because families are ordained of God, they are the most important social unit in time and in eternity. God has established families to bring happiness to His children, allow them to learn correct principles in a loving atmosphere, and prepare them for eternal life. The home is the best place to teach, learn, and apply principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. A home established on gospel principles will be a place of refuge and safety. It will be a place where the Spirit of the Lord can abide, blessing family members with peace, joy, and happiness. Through prophets in every age, including our own, God has revealed His plan of happiness for individuals and families.

1. We are to approach the work with enthusiasm and faith! (Refer to Pres. Hinckley's talk), PMG ch. 1,4,6.
2. The Lord's promises will be fulfilled in our mission and in the whole earth. (Refer to Pres. Hinckley's talk and Mission Vision Statement). PMG ch. 1
3. We are his set apart servants and are entitled to his guidance and power.
Let's continually seek for it. PMG ch. 4
4. Remembering our Missionary Purpose helps us to change from being "busy" in the work to accomplishing the objective of teaching repentance and baptizing converts.

5. Skills and habits learned on a mission are to continue with us throughout our lives...bringing the greatest happiness on our mortal journey.

Our two Elders from Kiribati!!! Elder T (on the right) baptized Elder M (on the left), not long before he left for his mission to the great Australia Perth Mission!!! One year later... Elder M has been called to serve in the great Australia Perth Mission as well!!! How exciting!!! We're so happy they are both here!!!
