Welcome to our Seven New Missionaries

This week seven wonderful new missionaries arrived in the Great Australia Perth Mission. They arrived from Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales. How grateful we are for these Elders and Sisters who as full time missionaries and disciples of Christ, seek to follow Him and invite others to come unto Him and His Church.

Another Farewell

Another farewell to one of our dear senior missionary couples. They have serve valiantly as Member Leader Support missionaries and then when COVID-19 struck, they served in the office as housing co-coordinators and in whatever capacity they were called. Thank you for your diligent service to the Lord, His people and younger missionaries. They started their service in Geraldton and completed in Busselton. God be with you until we meet again.

Follow-up Training

Follow-up training is always an important way to review how the first few weeks of training in the mission field is going. It is a time to re-evaluate, re-set and re-commit to helping new missionaries in fulfilling their missionary purpose to find and help those they teach receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ through baptism and confirmation. The first twelve weeks of a missionary's life is very important to learn all they need to know and understand to be an effective missionary.

Below are photos of each of the new missionaries with their trainers at the end of our training meeting and lunch. They are each wonderful missionaries whom we love. The field truly is white already to harvest.

Farewell to Our Missionaries from Kiribati

Our dear Kiribati missionaries departed for home after serving far beyond their called 2 years for the Elders and 18 months for sisters. Their resilience, cheerful countenances and faithfulness in serving the Lord have been a blessing and example to all who know them. The qualifications for serving a mission are found in Doctrine and Covenants section 4: "and faith hope charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God qualify him for the work". These missionaries are truly examples of being qualified for this great work of inviting others to come unto Christ, and helping them receive the Restored Gospel, through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.
