Transfers!

We have been so blessed by these four valiant missionaries.  Thank you for your noble service and your dedication in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your brothers and sisters in Western Australia!  We will miss you!  We love you!!!  Now, Go forward with faith!!!

Welcome to our newest Senior Missionary Couple!!!  Elder and Sister Marchant come to us from Tennessee, U.S.A.!  We are so very happy they are here!  Elder and Sister Marchant will be taking Elder and Sister Halbert's places as they depart for home.  Elder Marchant will be Financial Secretary, and Sister Marchant will be the Mission Secretary.





A Fond Farewell to our wonderful Elder and Sister Halbert!!!  Thank you for all you have done to help move this work of the Lord along here for the past 23 months in the Australia Perth Mission!!!   Thank you for your service in Albany Branch and for all of your help in the Mission Office!!!  You are wonderful!!!  We wish your all the best, and a safe and healthy return to your home and family.  We love you.

Q and A nights with President Fife.
"Come and See Fireside" at Warwick Chapel, North Coast Stake.

We really love being with you all at interviews.  This last week we finished up the ten nights of Questions and Answers with President Fife.  These were wonderful!  Every night was different!  We loved meeting your investigators, and others who you brought with you as well.  Some evenings were quite full, and our smallest evening had just one man who is studying the Church again and needs answers.  We always came away with happy hearts that we were able to share the gospel with your investigators.

On 2 July, we had a great evening with a "Come and See" Fireside.  All Stakes were invited and we filled the Warwick Chapel and half of the Cultural Hall.  Elder Paul Likius was our special speaker, and several beautiful musical numbers were shared by members.  We also were uplifted by the testimonies of two great men who have come into the Church in the last six or so months.   We appreciate all the help from the missionaries and members who worked so hard to make this a success.  This will be happening on a frequent basis throughout the mission, so keep this in mind as you invite others to learn of their Savior, and of Heavenly Father's love and plan for their happiness.  

I didn't think to take pictures of the Come and See Fireside until half the  people had left... but here are a few of the gathering afterward.

Port Hedland Branch Conference!

It is always such a wonderful weekend when we visit Port Hedland!  We met with many wonderful folks, had a great Branch Bar B Que Saturday evening, scripture study with our 2 fantastic Elders, Branch Conference on Sunday,  a delicious Branch lunch of soup and salads enjoying the newly planted grass under the big shade tree in the front of the chapel!  Then more visits with a community leader arranged by our Senior couple, Elder and Sister Pitman, some visits with members of the Branch as well as  some great  investigators.

Three Week Follow - Up Training
We had a great follow up training with our new Goldens and their awesome trainers.  We reviewed "The Doctrine of Christ", living the Law of Moses compared to the Law of Christ,  how to deal successfully with negative ",self talk", using "Adjusting to Missionary Life" throughout our missions, many Role Plays and much review from Preach My Gospel.

Zone Conferences!

It was wonderful to share these two days with each of our missionaries (including our missionaries in the far out reaches of the mission  in Broome, Port Hedland, and Karratha).  The Spirit was a sweet companion to many as we shared together thoughts that had come as we re read notes from prior Zone Conferences, and reflected on where we are now as a mission, and where we are hoping to go in the future.  A few of the subjects were:
Learning to labor in faith.
Putting on the Whole Armor of God.
Working with the members to build their faith and desire to participate in missionary work.

Remember:
-To study and learn from  "The Praying Christ".
-What we learn about putting on "The Whole Armor of Christ" as missionaries and for every day for the rest of our lives.
-The Do's and Don'ts List
-"If the Savior Stood Beside Me".
-All of the excellent role plays we practiced.  Especially the role play of helping members to participate in their own work as missionaries.  Remember, we role play to get "better" at what we are asked to do on a mission (Teach repentance and baptize converts), and to bring more revelation into our service and work as missionaries.
Preach My Gospel:
-Review of Chapter 9 "Finding People to Teach".
-Review of Chapter 10 "Teaching Skills".
-Review Chapter 4 "Recognizing the Spirit".
