Zone Conferences:

It's always a choice experience to be with the Elders and Sisters during Zone Conferences.  There was a sweet outpouring of the spirit!

Topics Discussed:

-Better use of the Book of Mormon in helping to bring people to Jesus Christ.

-Remembering to invite and engage the members of our wards and branches in missionary service.

-Discussing our new Mission Goals.  Time to increase our faith, our focus (remember distractions erode faith and focus)!
There are 1000's ready to hear the gospel!  Seek for, ask for, and live for the Holy Ghost to be with you to guide you in your finding and teaching!!!!

-The exciting announcement of "Just Serve" beginning to be implemented in the great Australia Perth Mission!!!

-Practicing "Observe, Listen, and Discern" (OLD) in our finding and teaching opportunities.

-What does "Ministering" look like and feel like when we are serving as called and set apart missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

-The importance of ALWAYS following the Spirit in our missionary labors of Finding and Teaching.

-We truly have amazing Elders and Sisters!  Thank you, for all you are doing every day  in helping to bring the beautiful, comforting, healing, hope filled and true gospel of Jesus Christ to all of His children here in WA!

District Meetings!
MLC
Mission Presidents Seminar and spending a wonderful few hours with some of our Returned Missionaries in Auckland!
Come and See Fireside at Warwick Chapel

We really enjoyed our District Meeting with the great Elders and Sisters of the Como District.  They worked on the skills of listening and discerning our friends and investigators needs while we are finding and teaching.  PMG p. 137 states:

"You are assigned to do the Lord's work in a specific area.  He wants you to watch over your area with love and great care.  Your purpose is to help others come unto Him through baptism and confirmation.

Do all you can to leave your area stronger than you found it.  Meaningful goals and careful planning will help you accomplish what the Lord requires of you.  As you care for the people in your assigned area, you will account to Him and to your mission leaders.

This chapter ( PMG chapter 8) will help you knowhow goal setting, planning and accountability can help many people receive the restored gospel."

Look who we got to spend a couple hours with during our very quick trip to Auckland for a brief Mission President's Seminar!   It was wonderful to catch up with these great young men and young women.  They are continuing to move forward with faith in their Saviour Jesus Christ!  We love them!!!  (We missed those of you who could not make it.  We apologize for the very short notice!)

And we met this Elders beautiful fiance'!

The topic of "Ministering" was discussed at the seminar.  It was uplifting and inspiring.

It is wonderful to catch up with other Mission Presidents and their wives and to learn from them.

North Coast Come and See Fireside!!!
The Spirit was sweet and powerful as many people came together for the Come and See Fireside in the Warwick Chapel of the North Coast Stake. There were many friends of the missionaries who attended.  The testimonies shared by the converts to the church were wonderful,  and the music was heavenly!  Thank you to all who helped make it such a nice evening!!!

Here are some quick shots of some of our friends and missionaries.

A thought shared in last conference by President Eyering:
"The Prophet Joseph set an example for us of how to receive continual spiritual direction and comfort through the Holy Ghost.
The first choice he made was to be humble before God.
The second was to pray with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The third was to obey exactly.  Obedience may mean to move quickly.  It may mean to prepare.  Or it may mean to wait in patience for further inspiration.
And the fourth is to pray to know the needs and hearts of others and how to help them for the Lord.  Inspiration will help us minister to others for the Lord.  You have seen that in your experience, as I have."

We'll see you this week at Zone Conferences!  And Country, we'll send it up to you ASAP!  Have a faith filled week, seeing miracles every day!

Karratha Mission Branch Conference!

We had such a great visit with our missionaries and with the wonderful Karratha Branch this last weekend.  Our Branch Conference was uplifting and spirit filled.  We are grateful to all those who did so much to make it a success.

It was wonderful to be with these two great Elders!  They're working hard and doing an awesome job in Karratha!  Our country Elders of the Pilbara District ( Karratha, Broome, Port Hedland), are on their own except for their weekly District Meetings which are held over the computer.  They view Zone Conferences via a DVD which is recorded and sent up to them.  The Australia Perth Mission also has Elders in far away country areas that have now been incorporated into one of the four Stakes.  These areas are Kalgoorlie, Albany, Geraldton, Narrogin, Bridgetown.  We love and appreciate these far off missionaries!!!

A delicious lunch was prepared and enjoyed by everyone!
