Farewell to five great missionaries

We recently said farewell to five great missionaries, who returned home to their families in Tahiti, Thailand, Brisbane and Melbourne. They served as faithful, dedicated full-time missionaries in  helping to bring souls unto Christ through sharing the message of the ongoing Restoration of His gospel. In preparation to returning home for their life's mission, they each went to the temple and had self-reliance training.

Australia Perth Missionaries Light the World

Sixteen missionaries from the Australia Perth Mission participated in a choir backed by the West Australian Charity Orchestra as part of the Light the World concert held on 20th December 2019. The concert was held at the Perth Concert Hall and included songs from cultures and religions of the world. Over 250 performers participated in the this unique multicultural, interfaith event that brought many people together to light the world through inspirational music.

The highlight of the evening was the wonderful missionary choir who performed so well. Watch the video of the two songs performed by our angelic missionaries.

Missionaries Safe from Fires in Our Mission

Despite terrible bush-fires occurring in the eastern states of Australia and in South Australia, the state of Western Australia is predominately free of major fires at this stage. All of the missionaries within the Australia Perth Mission are safe and sound and none are affected by or are serving in any areas where there are fires.

Please know we will update you if any fires impact our mission and the safety of our missionaries. Missionaries remaining safe is a major priority.

Thank you for all you do to support your family members who are such wonderful missionaries and disciples of Christ here in the Australia Perth Mission.

Merry Christmas from the Australia Perth Mission

To all parents, family and loved ones of missionaries serving in the great Australia Perth Mission we wish you a very joyous Christmas. We are grateful for your missionary sons and daughters who serve so well and are well looked after at this special Christmas time.

May you feel our Saviour’s peace, love and joy as we remember Him at Christmas and always. We testify that He is our Redeemer. He is the light of the world.

In the words of our beloved Prophet, President Russell M Nelson: “Joy comes from and because of Him. He is the source of all joy. We feel it at Christmastime when we sing ‘Joy to the world, the Lord is come’. And we can feel it all year round. Our missionaries teach and baptize to bring joy to the world”. May you also feel this joy in your lives.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyous Christmas.

Four Wonderful Missionaries Returned Home

After christmas zone conferences, we farewelled four wonderful missionaries - two sisters and two elders. Thank you for your service as ambassadors of the Lord, for sacrificing your time and talents to the greatest cause, the greatest work on earth.

Christmas Zone Conferences

We had two Christmas Zone Conferences, one for the Southern Zones and one for the Northern Zones, with the country zone missionaries coming into the city to be part of the Northern Zone Conference. It was wonderful to celebrate the birth, life and mission of our Saviour Jesus Christ together. We learnt more of what it means to be aligned and focussed on the Saviour as well as what we can give to Him in gratitude for all He has done for us.

Christmas Carolling in the Malls

Throughout December missionaries across the mission sang Christmas carols in various malls throughout Perth. The missionaries did a superb job and brought much joy wherever they went.
A group of 16 missionaries also sang at the Light the World Concert at the Perth Concert Centre recently.
