First Week of May 2017

Another wonderful week in the Australia Perth Mission!  Filled with interviews, arrival of two new Sisters, one from Thailand, and one from Mongolia, 3 week Follow Up Training, and MLC...not to mention finding and teaching the joyful doctrine of repentance, and baptism, and  of course... baptisms!   All of these activities are centered around teaching our loving Heavenly Father's plan of happiness to his precious children of WA.  We know you are actively and faithfully engaged in this great labor of love.

Three Week Follow Up Training!

Just a reminder of something our Prophet, President Monson shared with us last month during General Conference:

"We live in a time of great trouble and wickedness.  What will protect us from the sin and evil so prevalent in the world today?  I maintain that a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His gospel will help see us through to safety.  If you are not reading the Book of Mormon each day, please do so.  If you will read it prayerfully and with a sincere desire to know the truth, the Holy Ghost will manifest its truth to you."

We are so blessed to have time every day on our missions to study and ponder the teachings of our Heavenly Father and and his son Jesus Christ, by studying the Book of Mormon.  Share this book with all you meet, and help them read from it's pages and feel Heavenly Father's love for all of his children.  Help them to understand what they are reading.  Help them learn to pray, and talk with their Father, in order to know that it is true.

Also:  Just wanted to let you know, that you have been doing a wonderful job of taking care of the situation with the reverent handling of your borrowed temple clothing.  Different temple workers have approached us and commented on how much they appreciate your thoughtfulness towards them, and your reverence while attending the temple.  You are the best missionaries in the world!  We are so very proud of you and of your quickness to learn and respond to counsel.  Good on ya, Australia Perth Missionaries!!!

Also, please remember to send the last year's photos of your baptisms into the Mission Office email.  Thanks!

Remember... teach, testify, and invite!

Zone Conferences!!!

What a great couple of Zone Conferences were held this last week!!!  It was wonderful to meet with all of you fantastic Missionaries!!!  The two mornings started out with District Leader and Companion  Training.   The Missionaries all gathered for  early morning study while waiting for Zone Conference to begin.  The topics covered in District Leader Training were:  Our Ability to Lead comes from our commitment to follow Jesus Christ.  We are all called to lead our Heavenly Father's children to the waters of baptism.  Jesus Christ is the best example of a righteous leader and a righteous follower.  To be a great leader, one must be a great follower.

Here's a small sampling of what was covered:

Zone Conferences were filled with great opportunities to be edified by the Spirit.  You were invited to read a talk by Elder D. Todd Christofferson.  We learned about faith as a principle of action and faith as a principle of power.  Doctrine and Covenants 50 and Chapter 4 of PMG were heavily emphasized.  "Unto what were ye ordained?...to preach the word of truth by the Comfortor..."  Chapter 8 was reviewed concerning inspired Goal Setting and Planning.  Chapter 9 was reviewed and we brainstormed on different ways of finding people to teach.  Remember, He will lead you to them or He will lead them to you.  We talked about being effective in Ward Council Mtgs., etc.  Coming prepared.

We role played Vision -- Goal Setting ---  Planning with the Spirit.
We role played "Teach, Testify (without using the word "testify") and Invite" in 60 seconds.
We role played teaching the Doctrine of Jesus Christ from the Book of Mormon in a way that will help lead people to desire to make commitments (repent), that will lead them back to Heavenly Father.

We introduced all of our new Goldens!  And we heard departing testimonies from those whose last transfer this is.

Take time to use and practice what your have learned as you have Companionship Study.  Remember:  Preparation Preceeds Power!   Practice aids us with receiving revelation.

We love you all so much!!!

Glimpses of Role Plays:  Lots of buzzing energy!
