We say goodbye to Elder and Sister Moses...This great couple will surely be missed by all of the missionaries who served with them, and all of the members and nonmembers alike who were blessed by their great examples!  We love you Elder and Sister Moses!!

Zone Conferences!!!

What a great couple of Zone Conferences were held this last week!!!  It was wonderful to meet with all of you fantastic Missionaries!!!  The two mornings started out with District Leader and Companion  Training.   The Missionaries all gathered for  early morning study while waiting for Zone Conference to begin.  The topics covered in District Leader Training were:  Our Ability to Lead comes from our commitment to follow Jesus Christ.  We are all called to lead our Heavenly Father's children to the waters of baptism.  Jesus Christ is the best example of a righteous leader and a righteous follower.  To be a great leader, one must be a great follower.  

Here's a small sampling of what was covered:


Zone Conferences were filled with great opportunities to be edified by the Spirit.  You were invited to read a talk by Elder D. Todd Christofferson.  We learned about faith as a principle of action and faith as a principle of power.  Doctrine and Covenants 50 and Chapter 4 of PMG were heavily emphasized.  "Unto what were ye ordained?...to preach the word of truth by the Comfortor..."  Chapter 8 was reviewed concerning inspired Goal Setting and Planning.  Chapter 9 was reviewed and we brainstormed on different ways of finding people to teach.  Remember, He will lead you to them or He will lead them to you.  We talked about being effective in Ward Council Mtgs., etc.  Coming prepared.

We role played Vision -- Goal Setting ---  Planning with the Spirit.
We role played "Teach, Testify (without using the word "testify") and Invite" in 60 seconds.
We role played teaching the Doctrine of Jesus Christ from the Book of Mormon in a way that will help lead people to desire to make commitments (repent), that will lead them back to Heavenly Father.

We introduced all of our new Goldens!  And we heard departing testimonies from those whose last transfer this is.

Take time to use and practice what your have learned as you have Companionship Study.  Remember:  Preparation Preceeds Power!   Practice aids us with receiving revelation.

Visit to Port Hedland

It's always wonderful to visit and spend time with the Saints in the Mission Branches.  The members in the Port Hedland Branch are doing great and we love being with them!  And we're so excited to welcome Elder and Sister Pitman to Port Hedland!  They bring much experience with them and are awesome!!!
