Zone Conferences

This week we held two Zone Conferences, a northern Zone and southern Zone conference. We shared what we had chosen to act upon after hearing President Nelson speak to us at last week's Pacific missionary broadcast in Australia. President Nelson invited us to focus on not only going where the Lord wants us to go but even more importantly, being what the Lord wants us to be. To accomplish this we need to have daily repentance. He shared 3 Nephi 20:24-26, about our identity and being children of the covenant.

President Bennallack taught about treasuring up the words of life and we had training on inspired invitations from our Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leaders, Assistants and Self Reliance missionary couple. We were edified and uplifted to go forward in gathering scattered Israel.

This week two of our dear missionaries departed for home after 18 months/ two years of inviting others to come unto Christ full time. We will miss you both and look forward to hearing of your progression along the covenant path. Your mission service is really a MTC for the rest of your life.

Mission Leadership Council

We recently had our Mission Leadership Council, discussing the importance of Christlike leadership, being one and obtaining the attributes of a Zion people. We had team building activity as part of our Council, incorporating Lehi's Vision in 1 Nephi 8 and the Tree of Life. 

New Golden Missionaries Arrive

Four great new missionaries arrived from three different countries this week - South Africa, USA and Thailand. We are so grateful for them and their willingness to serve the Lord, full time as ambassadors for Him. They join the ranks of the valiant missionaries in the Great Australia Perth Mission. In the powerful words of our beloved Prophet, President Nelson, "You were sent to earth at this precise time, this most crucial time in the history of the earth, to help gather Israel. There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important than that. There is nothing of greater consequence.  Absolutely nothing. This gathering should mean everything to you. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth.... You are among the best the Lord has ever sent to this world. "

Transfers and Train the Trainers

The all exciting transfer day rolls around quickly, every six weeks.  Missionaries busily gather their belongings and go to their new areas with new companions.

Before the new golden missionaries arrive, the trainers have a train the trainers meeting. Below are the wonderful trainers for the soon to arrive golden missionaries.

Departure of Missionaries

This week we said farewell to six dear missionaries - four younger missionaries and a senior missionary couple. After self- reliance training for our four younger missionaries, we had dinner in the mission home together, followed by a devotional and sharing testimonies before going to the airport. We look forward to the joy of one day all meeting again, just as Alma and the sons of Mosiah did, "as they did rejoice exceedingly to see their brethren; and what added more to their joy, they were still his brethren in the Lord; yea and they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God" (Alma 17:2).
