Pilbara District Conference Weekend

This weekend the saints and missionaries from Karratha and Port Hedland branches gathered for the Pilbara District Conference weekend. Each day was filled with activities which brought fellowship and unity for both members and non-members alike. Saturday included outdoor family games followed by a family history afternoon, focusing on "who has my name." In the evening we had a delicious dinner followed by an outdoor evening of sharing many talents, including singing and dancing. Sunday morning we worshiped together, having sacrament meeting followed by a brief Sunday School class.

It was a wonderful Pilbara district conference weekend. Many thanks to the members and friends who organised, shared talents, provided meals and attended. "...that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one toward another" (Mosiah 18: 21).

Rockingham Stake Conference today

Rockingham Stake Conference was held this weekend, with a strong focus on missionary work. Some powerful testimonies were born by some of those who have recently joined the church. There is no greater work and no greater joy than to help souls come unto Christ.

Zone Conferences

We recently had 5 Zone Conferences, Tuesday was Southern River Zone Conference, Wednesday was Rockingham, Thursday was North Coast, Friday was Dianella and today Country Zone.  We learnt about the importance of teaching, from Chapter 10 of Preach my Gospel. The Assistants trained on how to begin teaching, the Zone leaders and Sister Training leaders taught on unity and adjusting our teaching to meet needs. We also learnt about the power of the Introduction of the Book of Mormon, using the scriputres in our teaching and uniting with members in this great work. It was wonderful to have two great Stake Presidents join in the training. We love our missionaries!!

Welcome to Our New Missionaries

 A big welcome to our new arriving missionaries, from the USA, Samoa and Kiribati. We are so grateful for your devoting two years or eighteen months of your life full-time to the greatest cause on earth: Inviting others to come unto Christ, by helping them receive the restored gospel, through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement,  repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.
