Welcome to Our Newest Missionary

This week we had one missionary arrive here in our mission. We are grateful for him and his desire to be a full-time missionary as he serves the Lord and invites others to learn of our Saviour and His Restored Gospel. As the Lord himself invited, "Learn of me and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me" (Doctrine and Covenants 19:23). His way truly is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.

No One is a Nobody, Everyone is a Somebody

This coming Sunday evening 20th September at 7pm (Perth time), we have a Come and See Facebook Event. Two of our sister missionaries will be interviewing Sister Ardeth Kapp, 9th Young Women General President of the Church. Sister Kapp is a very inspiring speaker and served as Young Women General President from 1984 to 1992. This is a wonderful opportunity to share with family and friends.

Our wonderful social media specialists and technology specialist missionaries are doing a great job in their assignments!

Two Dear Missionaries Departed Recently

Recently two of our dear missionaries departed, one sister flew home to Mongolia after serving well beyond her 18 months. One elder flew to his original assigned mission in the UK after serving here for 3 months. How grateful we are for these faithful missionaries who show their great love for the Lord by sharing His restored gospel.

Three of our New Missionaries Attend the Temple for the First Time

It was a great blessing for three of our new missionaries go to the temple for the first time with their families. The temple is the house of the Lord. It is there that we can go to make sacred promises with God, and feel of His Spirit. It is also where we can receive the greatest blessings God has to offer us, including the opportunity to live with our families forever, even after we die. It is where heaven and earth meet.

Special Australia Mission Conference

Last Thursday, 27th August, a special Australia Wide Mission Conference was held. We were blessed to have Elder and Sister Stevenson, Elder and Sister Nielson and Bishop and Sister Davies speak to all missionaries via Zoom. We learnt the importance of focusing on our missionary purpose no matter what. Our purpose hasn't changed, Covid-19 or not. There are great examples in the scriptures of missionaries who have been restricted in the past, imprisoned like the Apostle Paul (Acts 16:24), Alma and Amulek (Alma 14-15) and the Prophet Joseph Smith (Doctrine and Covenants 121;122;123). The Lord consecrated their afflictions for their gain, they fulfilled their missionary purpose in whatever circumstances they were in. May we continue to preach the gospel with happy hearts, in our current circumstances.

Zone Conference

Last week was Zone Conference week. Two Zone Conferences were held about becoming an Effective Missionary with the scriptural theme"By their fruits ye shall know them." (3 Nephi 14:20). The Sister Training Leaders and Zone Leaders did a great job training.
