We fare-welled another dear sister missionary recently. She has served with her heart, might mind and strength and is now returned home to the Philippines.
| Safe travels, until we meet again, we love you. |

We had two great Zone Conferences where we learnt about the importance of the principle of Preparation, and the importance of the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon and the Bible support each other. Combined with the Spirit, the Book of Mormon is our greatest resource in conversion to Jesus Christ and His Gospel. It is the most correct of any book on earth. We had great training by the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders and three informative workshops, centred around the principle of preparation.
As President Nelson counselled in the concluding session of General Conference: "Embrace your new normal by repenting daily. Seek to be increasingly pure in thought, word and deed. Minister to others. Keep an eternal perspective. Magnify your callings. And whatever your challenges, live each day so that you are more prepared to meet your Maker.

| The Great Northern Zone - letting their light shine |
The missionaries in the Great Australia Perth Mission are striving to bring the light of Christ to the people world. " Therefore hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up - that which ye have seen me do"(3 Nephi 18:24).
We had a great Missionary Leadership Council yesterday. We counselled about ways to help the mission move forward as we listened to each other and listened to the Spirit. As President M Russell Ballard once said, "When we support one another in Church councils, we begin to understand how God can take ordinary men and women and make of them extraordinary leaders....the best leaders are those who follow God's plan and counsel with their councils." (Ensign May 1994).
Yesterday we bid farewell to three more dear missionaries. They were each from Samoa and returned home on a repatriation flight. We will miss them each very much and are grateful for them and all they have done to teach the gospel, serve and help others on the covenant path.
This week we had one missionary arrive here in our mission. We are grateful for him and his desire to be a full-time missionary as he serves the Lord and invites others to learn of our Saviour and His Restored Gospel. As the Lord himself invited, "Learn of me and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me" (Doctrine and Covenants 19:23). His way truly is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.
Farewell to family
With new companions
This coming Sunday evening 20th September at 7pm (Perth time), we have a Come and See Facebook Event. Two of our sister missionaries will be interviewing Sister Ardeth Kapp, 9th Young Women General President of the Church. Sister Kapp is a very inspiring speaker and served as Young Women General President from 1984 to 1992. This is a wonderful opportunity to share with family and friends.
Our wonderful social media specialists and technology specialist missionaries are doing a great job in their assignments!
