Some Zone Conference Notes
In preparation for Zone Conference President Fife asked us to review and complete the "Check My Progress" pages in the 12 week booklet. As we listened to the Spirit during conference, most of what we came feeling a need for help with, was given. We were asked to listen to the Holy Ghost and record our promptings.

Keep the schedule
Make sure phone messages on cell phones are reflective of a Missionary and not a YSA.
Missionary Handbook Review: Pages 8-9 and 20-37.
Remember to address each other as Elder and Sister.
Make sure you are always in sight and hearing of conversations of companions. Never should you speak to Elder/Sister without companion.
Get rid of special "talks". Stick to the words of the prophets (Handbook p.25).

SPECIFIC PRAYERS
FINDING PMG CH. 9
Missions that baptize consistently do a great deal of personal finding and schedule it in every day!!!
Elder Ballard: Work with members but missionaries should conduct effective finding activities every single day. How many of you talk to at least 10 people each day outside of tracting -- on the streets, at the shops, park, bus and train station or on it. If you want more people to teach you must talk with more people!
Make a plan to visit all members in the ward, those further away as well. All need the invitation. Make a plan to accomplish this.
Elder Anderson: Finding is a daily tutorial in the exercise of faith! You must be actively engaged in finding. Your faith must be strengthened by study, consistent prayer, obedience and hard work. Pray each morning -- "I am ready to be an instrument in Thy hands again today, be with me, put people in my path that Thou hast prepared, help me hear Thy whisperings and be quick to follow. Guide my tongue so that I know what to say....teach and testify, Finding is exercising faith --- the evidence of things not seen the substance of things hoped for, faith grows and matures.
EFFECTIVE GOAL SETTING AND PLANNING PMG ch. 8
Effectively establish companionship goals and set real plan to accomplish them -- then act in faith, work hard and pray continuously. There is a direct connection between finding goals achieved and bringing people to the waters of baptism.
1. Seek out older youth and young adults.
2.Those connected with our members including part member families, and less active families and their friends. Help members learn how to share the gospel through social media.
3. The poor in sourut Alma 32:6.
4. The temporally poor.

Elder Renlund: How to know what to study
1. What invitations will I extend?
2. What doctrine correctly understood, will motivate someone to follow the invitation?
3. What are the promised blessings if they do follow through on the commitment they are invited to keep?
When inviting someone to do something they need to understand why it is important and what the blessings are for doing it --- they need motivation and incentive to act.
Make sure you help them see the blessings that will come, promise the blessings.
All that we do, in obedience, goal setting and planning, laboring much in the spirit (prayer, specifically), diligent -- faith filled and prayerful work, studying, finding, and teaching by the Spirit, working with members, etc. erc., is all to qualify to be instruments in His hands to participate with Him as He does His work!!!
