Here's something important to remember:
"Goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we can accomplishThrough goals and plans (weekly and daily and sometimes hourly!) our hopes are transformed into action.  Goal setting and planning are acts of faith."
Preach My Gospel p.146

Remember:  Vision...Goals....Plans.  We have the vision of what will happen in our missionary work.  We set inspired Goals that will, when accomplished,  help bring the Vision to pass.  We create our weekly and daily plans that will help to accomplish the set Goals, which will then help bring the Vision to pass.

A goal  needs to be measureable (a particular outcome with a date or time  attached to it).  A goal needs to be conceivable (believable),   A Goal needs to be achievable (with diligent effort combined with faith in our Saviour and our Heavenly Father and help from the Spirit).

Remember, in planning, we anticipate the "road blocks" that are bound to happen, and we set plans on how we will help people past their road blocks.  What resources do we have that we can draw upon to help us achieve our goal?  How do we plan on using these resources to help us achieve our goal?  Do you see how detailed our planning needs to be?  Goal setting + Detailed Planning + Hard Work = Success!
Planning is not an event...it is a process!!!

There is a difference between  "Planning" and "Scheduling".

When there is no faith in goal setting and planning, there is only "vain hope".  Inspired Goals and Plans help us avoid going through our days  just "hoping" something will happen.  With Goals and Plans we have certain objectives we are planning on achieving!  We are focused on our purpose.  When we find ourselves losing focus...what do we do?  We find a quiet place and have a prayer, and get reconnected to Heaven, and regain our focus on our purpose!  (See Missionary Purpose in PMG and the Australia Perth Mission Vision).

Plan your finding time!  What and who are your  best resources?  Remember the Ward Council, and be prepared to find through them as well!

You are amazing Elders and Sisters!  Keep up all the good works you are doing!
Remember, we not only teach with the Spirit, we find with the Spirit too!

Here are just a few photos from the past couple of weeks!

Farewell to this great Elder!  Because of Visa issues, we often have to say "farewell" to some of our missionaries mid transfer.  It is always hard to say goodbye!  We miss this Elder and all he contributed to the Lord's work as he faithfully served Him during his 2 year mission.

We love you!  Go Forward with Faith in the Philippines!!!!

What a delight it is to be visited by some of our missionaries who are now "Returned Missionaries"!!!  We received two such visits in one week!  Both these young men are busy with their post mission lives doing wonderful things in their jobs, their pursuits of furthering their educations, serving faithfully in their church callings, and striving with diligence and patience to have all the blessings their loving Father in Heaven desires to pour down on them!

They even got to share some of President Fife's favorite ice cream!!!

The District Meetings we attend are always so inspiring!   Thank you Elders and Sisters for your dedicated preparation to teach and to learn by the Spirit!!!

Even our great Elders in Narrogin get to join in on this one!  We have several districts who use Skype to connect with their far away district members.  (Sorry I didn't get you Kalgoorlie Elders in last week's!  But it was still great to see you and hear your thoughtful comments).

Three week Follow Up Training with our newest Goldens and their Trainers!

The countries of Mongolia, Tahiti, Samoa, Kiribus, and New Zealand and Australia are represented in this group of Goldens!

Preparing for interviews and also meeting with our Self Reliance missionary couple!!!

This great Elder came prepared to our General Conference Saturday afternoon session.  The video taped session somehow was stopped midway through Elder Renlund's address.  Because a kind member had taken time and given this companionship a hard copy of the talks (which had actually been given the weekend before), he was able to stand and finish reading to everyone the very touching story Elder Renlund was in the middle of sharing!  Thank you Elders!  You did a great job!

Our wonderful Referral Secretary!!!

The Mission's Financial Secretary!  He's great too!!

Some post  General Conference shots...

A flat visit.

A dinner for our very appreciated Senior Couple Missionaries!!!  ( We missed the two couples who were unable to attend!)

Another wonderful baptism of a special daughter of Heavenly Father!

Hard to beat a WA sunset!!!

The great Australia Perth Mission is blessed with the best Elders on earth!!!  Here are some of them!!!
