Australia Perth Mission Branches Conference!!!
We had a wonderful time in Karratha during our 3 day Mission Branches Conference!!! It was truly special to be with all of the Saints, our 8 missionaries serving between Broome, Port Hedland, and Karratha, as well as many friends that joined in the meetings and festivities as well. Friday and Saturday the youth enjoyed time getting to know each other through special activities their Young Men/Young Women Leaders provided for them. We also had a great Leadership Meeting Saturday afternoon, followed by a wonderful feast provided by members of the Karratha Branch, including a traditional Haangi" (I apologize if that is not spelled correctly...in asking those "in the know" how to spell it, I received 3 different spellings !). This was followed by a great talent show of singing, dancing, poetry reading, guitar playing, and even an "Oldies" song and dance featuring the Port Hedland Relief Society Sisters. Sunday, 150 of members and their friends met together, and held Conference, including a Sacrament Meeting. All were strengthened, uplifted, and edified. We are so grateful for all those who put so much time and effort into making the Australia Perth Mission Branches Conference such a memorable success! And for all those who traveled so far to participate!!
